ALADDIN cast share their favorite food spots in NYC

·         The Cloisters Museum, Fort Tyron Park, and the Heather Garden are a perfect place to visit, bring a picnic, or dine in at The New Leaf restaurant. 

Q:  How Did You Spend Your July 4th? 

A:  Usually, the 4th of July is a perfect reason to sit by a large body of water, lake or the Jersey Shore, but most of the time I am fine floating in a pool.  Also, take in some fireworks either on T.V. or a local town in N.J.

·         The High Line, is a superb bit of urban engineering and ingenuity!  A really magnificent walk with unique views of the city.  The sunset is superb from the High Line, don’t miss it!  Also, the Downtown Whitney Museum is a wonderful museum, with great views!  I don’t know how “off the beaten track”  these are but compared to the crowds at The Statue of Liberty, and The Empire State Building, etc. it’s a very different, and truly beautiful look at Manhattan. 

Q: How Did You Spend Your July 4th?

A:   Due to our holiday performance schedule for July 4th, I’ll stay right here in town and be with friends relaxing on a terrace at a Bar-B-Q and enjoying an Agrabah Collins.  

Brian Gonzales (Babkak)

·         Well, I don't know if it's off the beaten path, because it involves some famous New York stops, but the combination might be a little bit off the beaten path.  Find a lovely, sunny day, and walk the length of the Brooklyn Bridge to the other side, where you'll stop and have some Grimaldi's Pizza.  Then, after being so full you can hardly walk, you take a water taxi back across.  It's just a really nice combination of exercise, sightseeing, great pizza, and some New York atmosphere.  That was suggested to me by Mr. Mark Oristano: New Yorker, Newsman, Photographer, and Actor.
