Four Four South Village - The Real Taste of China

Four Four South Village (located on Broadway’s restaurant row) is an acquired taste. When I strolled in, it was filled with Chinese customers and two other patrons, both White Males, were speaking in Chinese.

That’s always a great sign when choosing any restaurant that focuses on a specific , to have an establishment is packed with natives.  If they love it … it’s a good chance that you will love it as well.

Now … with Four Four South Village … it’s an experience for the adventurous. I am not saying that the food isn’t good. It is good. What I am saying is that it doesn’t taste like any Chinese food most Americans have had. It’s 100percent nothing like the local hole-in-the-wall joints that are literally in every community.

Four Four South Village is Taiwan’s first military-dependent village and their Taiwanese Beff Noddles are considered a delicacy that originated from military-dependent villages.

In America, Four Four South Village’s goal is to become the number one beef noodle shop “in the hearts of oversea Chinese people around the world” and that’s why they use “Four Four South Village” as their brand name.

Got it? Good, let’s push on. There are three locations for Four Four South Village: 38-06 Prince Street, 11 E. 7th Street, and 368 W. 46th Street, and below are my suggestions for those who are just stepping into the real taste of China.
