Starz's hit comedy series, "Blindspotting," returned for its second season on Friday, April 14th, with a special two-episode premiere. The cast of the show attended the premiere FYC event on Tuesday, April 11th, at NeueHouse Hollywood, which was followed by a Q&A session moderated by LeVar Burton.

The series debuted to critical acclaim in 2021 and currently holds a 100% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It also won the Audience Award for TV Spotlight at this year's SXSW festival, where an early screening and panel for season two took place. Kathryn Busby, the President of Original Programming at Starz, opened the screening with remarks, and the event featured bay-area inspired light bites and a Thizzly Bear house cocktail inspired by the series, along with beats spun by DJ Hauskaat.

The show's co-creators, Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs, were in attendance, along with the cast, including Emmy winner Jasmine Cephas Jones, Academy Award winner Helen Hunt, and LeVar Burton, who appears later this season as Earl's Dad. Other celebrity guests included Leslie Odom Jr., G-Eazy, and Paul Downs.

"Blindspotting" centers on Ashley (Jones), who is navigating a chaotic life after her partner of 12 years and father of their son, Miles (Casal), is suddenly incarcerated. The series follows Ashley, Miles, and their family and friends as they navigate the challenges of life in Oakland. The second season picks up nine months after Ashley and Miles's prison nuptials, and Ashley is struggling to raise their son on her own while Miles adjusts to life on the inside.

The show explores themes of family, friendship, and the impact of the criminal justice system on communities of color. It is co-created by Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs and features a talented and diverse cast.

"Blindspotting" is a compelling and timely series that speaks to the experiences of the African American community. It is available to stream on the Starz app, all Starz streaming and on-demand platforms in the US and Canada, and airs on Fridays at 9:00 pm ET/PT.
