Bloomeffects New News

Bloomeffects, the skincare brand that uses the power of Dutch tulips, has announced its partnership with fellow Asian American/Pacific Islander and female-owned brands to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month in May 2023. The collaboration will see these brands working together on social media to spread awareness about the event. This includes a series of weekly Instagram Live conversations called "Fireside Fridays," hosted by Bloomeffects Brand Founder Kim van Haaster, in which she will moderate conversations with female AAPI-owned brand founders. They will share their lived experiences of their Asian heritage and identity and discuss how this has inspired the development of their brands.

The social media collaboration will also include a multi-branded giveaway, and a charitable donation from Bloomeffects’ product sales to nonprofit AAPI Women Lead. From May 24th-31st, 2023, 100% of profits from sales of Bloomeffects’ Royal Tulip Nectar purchased on Bloomeffects.com will be donated to AAPI Women Lead to further support the AAPI community. AAPI Women Lead is a nonprofit working to raise visibility and share stories around the unique experience of AAPI women.

The AAPI Founder “Fireside Fridays” series will feature notable female founders including Youthforia Founder Fiona Co Chan, Squigs Founder Nikita Charuza, and House of M Beauty Founder Anne Nguyen Oliver. Ellis Brooklyn Founder Bee Shapiro, Emilie Heathe Founder Emily Rudman, and Mai Vino Co-Founder Mai Van Vu will join on May 12th. Three Ships Co-Founder Connie Lo, PAIRE Founder Eunice Cho, and Gold House Futures General Manager Christine Yi will join on May 19th. Versine Skincare Founder Jennie Gao, The Qi Founder Lisa Li, and Jilly Bing Founder Elenor Mak will join on May 26th.

Moreover, on Tuesday, May 30th at 1PM EST, AAPI Women Lead Co-Founder Jenny Wun & Bloomeffects Brand Founder Kim van Haaster will go live on @Bloomeffects IG channel, where they will share their experiences of their Asian heritage and identity and raise awareness for AAPI Women Lead. The collaboration aims to strengthen the progressive political and social platforms of Asian and Pacific Islander communities in the US through the leadership of AAPI women, girls, and gender-expansive communities.

The celebration also includes a social media giveaway, which will take place on May 12th, where one lucky follower will have the chance to win a beauty bundle valued at over $500. The giveaway will feature products from Bloomeffects, Common Heir, Squigs, Kulfi, and Emilie Heathe.

With the ongoing rise of anti-Asian hate crimes, the celebration of AAPI Heritage Month is more important than ever. By partnering with other AAPI and female-owned brands, Bloomeffects is using its platform to spread awareness, celebrate diversity, and support the AAPI community. #BloomeffectsPartner #AAPIHeritageMonth #FiresideFridays #AAPIWomenLead #ImReadyMovement #AAPIBeauty #SocialMediaGiveaway.
