Starring the two-time Tony Award nominee Alex Brightman as Richard Dreyfuss, Colin Donnell as Roy Scheider, and the talented Ian Shaw making his Broadway debut as his father Robert Shaw, who portrayed "Quint" in JAWS, THE SHARK IS BROKEN is a must-see production. Co-written by Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon, this Olivier Award-nominated comedy takes you aboard "The Orca" to unveil what happened when the cameras stopped rolling during the making of Steven Spielberg's blockbuster.
After captivating audiences at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, THE SHARK IS BROKEN opened to critical acclaim at London's West End's Ambassadors Theatre in 2021. Directed by Guy Masterson, the play features exquisite scenic and costume design by Duncan Henderson, mesmerizing lighting design by Jon Clark, remarkable sound design and original music by Adam Cork, immersive video design by Nina Dunn, and meticulous casting by Jim Carnahan Casting. Joining the cast are talented understudies Peter Bradbury, Stephen Dexter, and Coby Getzug. Performances begin on Tuesday, July 25, following the play's successful runs in Edinburgh and London.

Tickets for THE SHARK IS BROKEN are now available for purchase at Telecharge.com (212.239.6200) and the John Golden Theatre box office (252 West 45th Street). Prices range from $49 to $119, including a $2 facility fee, during the specially priced preview performances. The play will have evening shows from Monday to Saturday at 8 pm, with Saturday matinees at 2 pm. Note that an additional 2 pm matinee will be added on Wednesday, August 2, and Wednesday, August 9. Starting Friday, August 11, the performance schedule will be as follows: Tuesday to Friday at 7 pm, Saturday at 8 pm, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2 pm, and a Sunday show at 3 pm. Kindly note that there will be no matinee on Sunday, August 13.
