MTC’s JAJA'S AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDING: Broadway Sensation Goes Global with Live Streaming Debut

The League of Live Stream Theater is proud to announce its partnership with Manhattan Theatre Club to live stream the world premiere Broadway production of Jaja's African Hair Braiding. From Tuesday, November 14th to Sunday, November 19th, audiences worldwide can experience this sensational play from the comfort of their homes, breaking the barriers of geographical constraints.

The critically acclaimed play, dubbed "wickedly entertaining" by The Washington Post, "brilliant" by Entertainment Weekly, and a "riotously funny buffet of delights" by The New York Times, has been captivating audiences since its first performance. Now, this character-rich narrative, filled with personality and depth, will be accessible to a global audience, courtesy of The League of Live Stream Theater.

Set in Harlem, Jaja's African Hair Braiding immerses viewers in the bustling hair braiding shop owned by Jaja, a West African immigrant. Amidst the vibrant setting, a diverse group of braiders creates masterpieces while navigating love, dreams, and community. The play delves into the complexities of life on the edge of home, exploring themes of identity, dreams, and the significance of community.
