Palace Skateboards Teams Up with The Phantom of the Opera for New Capsule Collection
Streetwear meets Broadway in an exciting new collaboration between Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Really Useful Group and UK-based streetwear giant, Palace Skateboards. In celebration of the iconic musical The Phantom of the Opera, Palace is launching a capsule collection that blends the theatrical magic of the show with the edgy, irreverent style the brand is known for.
The collection will drop on Friday, October 18, and will be available both online and in Palace's flagship stores across LA, New York, London, Tokyo, and Seoul.
The Phantom of the Opera capsule will feature a range of streetwear essentials, including hoodies, t-shirts, jeans, and knitwear. Fans can also snag a commemorative pin, a Phantom-inspired skateboard deck, and other limited-edition pieces that merge the show’s haunting aesthetic with Palace’s street-ready vibe.
Libby Grant, Chief Commercial Officer of The Really Useful Group, expressed her excitement about the partnership: “Working with Palace has demonstrated how relevant and exciting The Phantom of the Opera remains today – nearly 40 years after its first production. This partnership is part of our drive to bring Andrew Lloyd Webber Musicals into new and exciting categories and product areas.”
Since its debut in London’s West End nearly four decades ago, The Phantom of the Opera has captivated over 160 million people worldwide. The timeless tale of mystery, love, and obsession has grossed an estimated $10.8 billion, securing its place as one of the most commercially successful musicals of all time.
The Palace collaboration is the latest in a series of innovative moves by The Really Useful Group to expand the reach of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musicals beyond the stage. Recent initiatives include a partnership with design house Studio MinaLima, as well as the launch of The Box Five Club, a new online community for Andrew Lloyd Webber fans.
Palace Skateboards, known for its boundary-pushing collaborations, continues to make waves in the fashion world. Established in 2009, the brand has become a global sensation, beloved by Gen Z and celebrities alike. This new Phantom collection is sure to resonate with both theater buffs and streetwear enthusiasts, combining two cultural forces in a truly unique way.
Mark your calendars for October 18—this is one drop you won’t want to miss.
