Held at LaGuardia Community College at 1 PM, this unique game sees comedians and retired NBA/WNBA stars teaming up under the guidance of Linda Shanklin, MPBP, Inc. President and mother of NBA star Andre Iguodala. Together, they’re setting out to make a difference on the court, with proceeds supporting Mothers of Professional Basketball Players, Inc. (MPBP, Inc.).

A Star-Studded Lineup

Fans are in for a treat as former NBA stars “Smush” Parker, Albert King, Sam Worthen, and WNBA veteran Michelle Reed join forces with comedians from The New York Comedy Festival. Adding a special touch, Coach Daynia La-Force (mother of LA Clippers’ Terance Mann) will lead the charge, guiding a team filled with heart, hustle, and humor.

Pre-game excitement and Halftime Fun

The event kicks off with a live recording of the popular podcast Courtside Moms, hosted by Daynia La-Force and Wendy Sparks, mother of EuroLeague player Khem Birch. This pre-game chat offers fans a glimpse into the lives of those who raised some of basketball’s brightest talents. At halftime, the spotlight turns to Midori & Friends, an organization championing music education for underserved NYC youth, as they deliver an unforgettable performance.
