First Broadway Production of Jason Robert Brown’s Acclaimed Musical Now in Performances at the Hudson Theatre

Performances have begun for the first-ever Broadway production of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years at the Hudson Theatre (141 W. 44th St.), starring Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren under the direction of Whitney White. The strictly limited 14-week engagement officially opens on Sunday, April 6, and runs through June 22.

A New Broadway Chapter for a Beloved Musical

Since its Off-Broadway debut, The Last Five Years has captivated audiences with its bold storytelling structure, tracing the arc of a five-year relationship from two opposite timelines. Cathy (Warren) starts at the breakup, while Jamie (Jonas) begins at the first spark—two perspectives unfolding simultaneously in a 90-minute, heart-racing theatrical experience.

The production features choreography by Tony Award nominees Jeff Kuperman & Rick Kuperman, scenic design by Tony Award winner David Zinn, costumes by Tony Award winner Dede Ayite, lighting by Stacey Derosier, sound design by Tony Award winner Cody Spencer, and wig & hair design by Academy Award winner Mia Neal. Tom Murray serves as music director, with casting by Taylor Williams and production stage management by Cody Renard Richard.

Opening Night and Special Guests

The production’s first performance played to a sold-out audience, with Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas in attendance to support Nick Jonas’ return to Broadway.
