A new multimedia production coming to the Beacon Theater and Adrienne Arsht Center this December.
What was Princess Aurora dreaming during her 100 year slumber? Sleeping Beauty Dreams will explore this untold story. A new kind of theatrical experience combining live performance and technology to show that the world of dreams is unique and doesn’t have to be confined by time or space.
Prima Ballerina Diana Vishneva will dance as Princess Aurora and Marcelo Gomes as her Prince.
Digital avatars will also perform live, reacting in real-time to dancers on stage. Tobias Gremmler and fuse* have created virtual characters with the ability to respond and interact with the dancers' movements, making each show unique.
Dutch musician Thijs de Vlieger of NOISIA has composed an original score for this production.
