ESSENCE releases exclusive audio featuring media mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs from its recent ESSENCE May issue cover story interview with his friend and writer dream hampton.
During the raw and unedited conversation, an emotional Combs breaks down in tears as he shares his thoughts with Hampton on the untimely passing of his soulmate Kim Porter—and how their family will be affected this Mother’s Day Weekend. During their conversation, a clearly shaken Combs shares with her: “…This Mother’s Day is going to hurt. We’re definitely going to celebrate all the mothers…but honestly anybody that’s lost a mother lost a soulmate, it takes time. They say time heals all wounds when it comes to your mother…but I don’t think that’s the case...”
