In a recent FANDANGO article, Director JON FAVREAU discusses what it was like working with Beyonce in the upcoming live-action film.
“She's incredibly engaged and committed, and so what was wonderful was that when we did get together to work, she was exceptional, as you can imagine in her performance,” he says.
When the interviewer asked how he responded when he received the call that Beyonce was on board for the role, his reply was “I was pretty stoked because I knew my stock was going to rise in my home. Dad got cool for about a week there!”
Favreau also went on to confirm that Beyonce wrote an all-new song for the film in which she worked with Lebo M and Hans Zimmer on.
