 Platinum Launches Suicide Prevention Campaign with American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Week

Platinum, purveyors of cannabis products including vapes, edibles and jarred flower, is proud to announce its most recent REACT Foundation campaign with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP): Duck Duck Hope. 

In honor of National Suicide Prevention Week September 5-11, Platinum will be hosting a month-long campaign in Michigan and California aimed at raising awareness around suicide prevention. Per AFSP’s Duck Duck Hope initiative, Platinum employees in each state will be given 2,000 toy ducks to disperse at random locations. The toy ducks will have small note cards tied around them with messages of encouragement and hope. 

“It’s a very trying time right now,” said Platinum President George Sadler. “With everything going on in the world and so many people facing economic, emotional, and even physical unknowns, we wanted to do something for the community. It was so simple and yet in these times of turmoil could actually bring a smile. The randomness is unique and effortless to implement. We are thankful that they let us be a part of this campaign by providing the template for the message.”

Platinum’s charitable arm, the REACT Foundation, focuses on six social causes throughout the year including breast cancer awareness, pediatric care, world hunger, veteran support, animal rescue, and suicide prevention. Platinum has a dedicated product line with packaging that corresponds with each cause. Proceeds of each REACT product are donated to the cause associated with its packaging. Throughout the month of September, proceeds from Platinum’s REACT Suicide Prevention vape will be donated to AFSP.
