As we enter fall, I continue to step into my fragrance journey and I would be remiss if candles were not part of the experience. One of the consistent and most delicious fragrance choices comes from NEST New York and this season they have introduced two, new fragrances and they are Pumpkin Chai and Autumn Plum.
The reviews for Pumpkin Chai are solid and I absolutely agree that this scent creates a delicious, and cozy autumn ambiance that features a blend of wild pumpkin, spicy masala chai, cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon. The candle is part of the Gourmand fragrance (Gourmand Spice). It’s housed in a glass vessel etched with beautiful, frosted stripes that is designed to complement any decor. It’s predicted to burn 50-60 hours which fits into NEST New York’s commitment to move towards a more sustainable future with recyclable cartons made from sustainably sourced materials. Note, the candles are formaldehyde free, paraben free, phthalates free, and cruelty-free.
Autumn Plum Classic Candle steps boldly, offering a sweet, woody aroma of freshly fallen autumn leaves with wild plum and cinnamon wrapped in the warmth of patchouli leaf and cashmere wood. Designed to be used every day it’s formulated using a proprietary premium wax formulated so the candle burns cleanly and evenly and infuses a room with exceptional scent.
It’s part of the fruity fragrance family. The scent type is best described as “fruity wood” and the keynotes include wild plum, cinnamon, patchouli leaf, and cashmere wood.
CANDLE CARE
Follow the tips below to help ensure optimal results when burning your NEST New York candles: Trim the wick to ¼ inch each time before burning.
- Center and straighten the wick after blowing out your candle
- Burn candles in a well-ventilated room
- Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches, and debris
- Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, fans, or air currents
- Before re-lighting a candle, let the candle cool completely
- Burn regular-sized candles for 3–4 hours at a time.
- Burn candles in an ambient of 65–75 degrees °F
- When burning multiple candles, place them at least 8 inches apart.
- If a candle is burning unevenly and the wick is centered, it’s in a draft
