The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet. The Lion King "Generations" is among the best from the nearly 14,000 entries this year.


"The Lion King" franchise has been a staple in the theater community for years. The show continues to ascend as one of the most popular stage musicals in the world. The production has made theatrical history with two productions worldwide running 15 or more years and two others running 20 or more years. The show has also played over 100 cities in 24 countries on every continent except Antarctica; its worldwide gross exceeds that of any film, Broadway show, or other entertainment titles in box office history.
