American Symphony Producers Guild of America (PGA) nominated



Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced the 2024 Documentary Motion Picture nominees that will advance to the final round of voting for the 35th Annual Producers Guild Awards. 
 

The films nominated for Outstanding Producer of Documentary Motion Pictures are listed below in alphabetical order: 

 

20 Days in Mariupol  

American Symphony  

Beyond Utopia  

The Disappearance of Shere Hite  

The Mother of All Lies  

Smoke Sauna Sisterhood  

Squaring the Circle (The Story of Hipgnosis)  

Note: These films are in the process of being vetted for individual producer eligibility. 

 

The Producers Guild Awards honors excellence in motion picture and television productions, as well as the most notable names in the industry who are shaping the producing profession. Last year, producers Odessa Rae, Diane Becker, Melanie Miller and Shane Boris were honored with the award for Outstanding Producer of Documentary Motion Picture for “Navalny” which documented Russian politics through the investigation into the shocking assassination attempt of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny and his ongoing fight for democratic reform.  

 

Nominees for Sports, Children’s and Short Form Television Programs will be announced this Friday, December 15. The nominees for Theatrical Motion Pictures, Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures, Television Series/Specials, and Televised/Streamed Motion Pictures will be announced on Thursday, January 12. 

 

Winners will be honored during the 35th Annual Producers Guild of America Awards ceremony on Sunday, February 25. Each year the PGA Awards have been attended by the industry’s biggest players including Tom Cruise, Mindy Kaling, Michael DeLuca, Pamela Abdy, Guillermo del Toro, Barbara Broccoli, Cate Blanchett, Jonathan Wang, Patricia Arquette, Eugenio Derbez, Daveed Diggs, Sherry Lansing, Sandra Oh, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Sacha Baron Cohen, Greg Berlanti,  Diego Luna, Ryan Murphy, Paul W. Downs, and many more. Additional information about this year’s highly anticipated awards show and its ancillary pre-events will be announced soon.  

 

The 2024 Producers Guild Awards Event Chairs are Mike Farah, Chief Executive Officer at Funny Or Die and Joe Farrell, Chief Creative Officer at Funny Or Die. The 2024 Producers Guild of America Awards are produced by Anchor Street Collective and written by Jody Lambert, Lauren Cortizo, and Matt Oberg for the Producers Guild of America. Branden Chapman is Executive Producer, Carleen Cappelletti is Co-Executive producer, Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is PR agency of record and Diane Salerno manages sponsorships.  


The Producers Guild of America represents over 8,400 producers. It is a non-profit trade organization that represents, protects and promotes the interests of all members of the producing team in film, television and emerging media.
