Online Screenings are Happening Now

It may be day eight of the Festival, but it’s day one of online screenings and we’ve got plenty of Festival magic in store for viewers, including screenings of Girls Will Be GirlsBetween the TemplesGaucho Gaucho, and In the Summers. Quinta Brunson and Michael Schur will be logging on at noon for The Last Laugh: Comedy in the Age of Climate Change, a virtual conversation presented by Natural Resources Defense Council. The two hilarious showrunners will explore how to tackle tough topics through comedy, why laughter is the best medicine, and how climate change can unlock creative opportunities. 

Festgoers with us in Utah, get ready for more incredible throwback screenings from our 40th Edition Programming and Events lineup. The Times of Harvey Milk will be screening at The Egyptian Theater and The Babadook is returning to the mountain to spook audiences once again.

Plus, get ready to celebrate the best of the Fest! Our Awards announcement is coming tomorrow morning starting at 10 a.m. MT. Come watch a game of trivia on Main Street! Stop by the Filmmaker Lodge at 2 p.m. and witness our assembly of comedians, filmmakers, and festival veterans battle it out to see who’s the ultimate Sundance expert. Arrive early because the Lodge fills up fast!

Meet the Artist: Eternal You

Festivalgoers gasped more than once inside the Prospector Square Theatre during the world premiere of Eternal You. Get to know Hans Block and Moritz Riesewieck’s film centered on startups using AI to create avatars that allow relatives to talk with their deceased loved ones. In-person and online tickets are still available for this screening. Meet the Artist is presented by Acura.
