TONY AWARD WINNER JULIE WHITE HOSTED THE ACTING COMPANY’S 2024 “FANTASTIC JOURNEYS" GALA

The Acting Company, a cornerstone of American theatre for over 50 years, just threw their annual "Fantastic Journeys" Gala with host, Tony Award winner Julie White.   

This unforgettable evening was packed with dazzling performances, heartfelt tributes, and a celebration of the company's enduring impact.

The evening included performances from Abby Mueller (Broadway’s SIX, Beautiful, Kinky Boots),  Tatiana Wechsler (Broadway’s Mr. Saturday Night), Anya Whelan-Smith, Layla Khoshnoudi, Abiola Obatolu, Zamo Mlengana and Peter Douskalis (guitarist for Broadway’s Water for Elephants, The Lion King and Hamilton). 

The evening also paid tribute to two, remarkable individuals who have significantly contributed to the performing arts. Stephen McKinley Henderson, a celebrated actor with an extensive career spanning stages across the US and abroad received the John Houseman Award Honor. William H. Wright II, a leader in investment banking and a dedicated philanthropist, was presented with the Joan M. Warburg Award Honor.

More Than a Gala, a Celebration of Theatre's Power

The Gala went beyond fundraising. It was a heartfelt celebration of The Acting Company's remarkable journey in fostering new acting talent and introducing audiences nationwide to the magic of live theatre.

Under the leadership of Artistic Director Kent Gash, Producing Director Devin Brain, and Managing Director Erik Schroeder, The Acting Company brings professional productions and education programs to thousands of audience members and students each year. Founded by John Houseman and Margot Harley, the company strives to develop emerging actors and build enthusiastic audiences for theatre across the United States. The Acting Company has launched the careers of nearly 500 actors and has received numerous accolades, including the 2003 Tony Award for Excellence in the Theater.
