Broadway audiences are in for an unforgettable experience as Tony and Academy Award winner Denzel Washington and Tony and Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal bring Shakespeare’s Othello to life. Directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon and lead produced by Brian Anthony Moreland, this strictly limited 15-week engagement will begin previews on Monday, February 24, at the Barrymore Theatre, with opening night set for Sunday, March 23.

Producers have now announced a digital lottery system, giving theatergoers a chance to see this highly anticipated production at an affordable price. Winners will be notified in two rounds—first at 10 AM ET and again at 3 PM ET—allowing them to purchase up to two tickets for $49 each (including a $5 service fee). Please note that seats may be partial view.

Joining Washington as Othello and Gyllenhaal as the scheming Iago is a stellar supporting cast, including Molly Osborne as Desdemona, Tony Award winner Andrew Burnap as Cassio, Anthony Michael Lopez as Roderigo, Daniel Pearce as Brabantio, and Kimber Elayne Sprawl as Emilia. The ensemble also features Neal Bledsoe as The Duke of Venice, Julee Cerda as Bianca, Ezra Knight as Montano, Gene Gillette as Gratiano, and Rob Heaps as Lodovico, alongside an accomplished group of stage talents.

With an award-winning creative team, this production promises to be a visually and emotionally gripping experience. Scenic design is led by two-time Tony Award winner Derek McLane, with costumes by Tony winner Dede Ayite, lighting by eight-time Tony winner Natasha Katz, and sound design by two-time Tony nominee Justin Ellington. Additional creative contributions come from Oscar and Emmy winner Mia Neal (hair and wig design), intimacy director Claire Warden, and Shakespeare consultant James Shapiro.

This spring, don’t miss the opportunity to witness Washington and Gyllenhaal’s powerhouse performances in Shakespeare’s classic tragedy.
