Good Night, and Good Luck Announces Lottery, Rush, and Standing Room Policies

George Clooney’s Broadway Debut, Good Night, and Good Luck Announces Lottery, Rush, and Standing Room Policies

The producers of Good Night, and Good Luck, the highly anticipated new Broadway play by George Clooney and Grant Heslov, have announced ticket access details ahead of the production’s first preview on Wednesday, March 12 at the Winter Garden Theatre. Directed by Tony Award winner David Cromer, the show marks Clooney’s Broadway debut, starring as legendary journalist Edward R. Murrow.

To ensure broader access, the production is launching a digital lottery, rush tickets, and standing-room options.

Digital Lottery
Entries open at 12:00 a.m. one day before each performance and close with drawings at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. the same day. Winners may purchase up to two $49 tickets, which may be a partial view. Details and entry are available via the show’s official website.

Rush Tickets
A limited number of same-day $49 rush tickets will be available in person at the box office beginning each morning. Tickets are limited to two per person and may also be a partial view.

Standing Room
Once a performance is sold out, $69 standing-room tickets will be made available at the box office. Purchases are limited to two per person, per performance.

Based on the 2005 film by 2929 Entertainment and Participant (distributed by Warner Bros.), Good Night, and Good Luck revisits Murrow’s iconic televised confrontation with Senator Joseph McCarthy during the height of the Red Scare—a defining moment in the history of American journalism.

In addition to Clooney, the ensemble cast features Mac Brandt, Will Dagger, Christopher Denham, Glenn Fleshler, Ilana Glazer, Clark Gregg, Paul Gross, Georgia Heers, Carter Hudson, Fran Kranz, Jennifer Morris, Michael Nathanson, Andrew Polk, Aaron Roman Weiner, and Greg Stuhr. Ensemble members include R. Ward Duffy, Joe Forbrich, Imani Rousselle, JD Taylor, and Sophia Tzougros.

The creative team includes Scott Pask (scenic design), Heather Gilbert (lighting), David Bengali (video/projections), Daniel Kluger (sound and music supervision), Brenda Abbandandolo (costumes), Leah J. Loukas (hair and wigs), Gigi Buffington (voice and dialect), Bryan Carter (music supervision), and David Caparelliotis (casting).

Good Night, and Good Luck officially opens on Thursday, April 3. Tickets are on sale via Telecharge, by phone at (212) 239-6200, or in person at the Winter Garden Theatre box office.

In a time when disinformation and fear loomed large, Murrow and his team made the decision to speak truth to power. The play examines the risks—and necessity—of holding the line when journalism itself is on trial.
