Aziz Ansari’s Good Fortune to Hit Theaters October 17

Keanu Reeves, Sandra Oh, and Seth Rogen join a star-studded cast in a genre-bending comedy

Aziz Ansari returns to the director’s chair with Good Fortune, a new comedy-drama set to open exclusively in theaters on October 17. Ansari not only writes and directs but also stars alongside Seth Rogen, Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh, and Keanu Reeves in an ensemble cast that promises both humor and heart.

At the center of the story is Gabriel, a well-meaning but disastrously ineffective angel played by Reeves, who inserts himself into the lives of two men on opposite ends of the economic spectrum: a struggling gig worker (Ansari) and a high-powered venture capitalist (Rogen). What unfolds is a collision of fate, finance, and spiritual misfires, wrapped in Ansari’s signature blend of awkward sincerity and social critique.

The film is produced by Ansari, Anthony Katagas, and Alan Yang—all bearing the Producers Guild of America (p.g.a.) mark—bringing together the creative team behind Master of None. Executive producers include Aniz Adam Ansari, Jonathan McCoy, Christopher Woodrow, and Connor DiGregorio.

Good Fortune is a Lionsgate release, made in association with Media Capital Technologies, and produced by Garam Fiilms, Keep Your Head, and Yang Pictures.
