Instead of following in his famous father's footsteps as an actor, Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan has made a sensational directorial debut with the Netflix high-stakes series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, now playing on the streamer.
There was a grand premiere this week at Mumbai's iconic Grand Theatre at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, where the cast and crew made a big splash and the evening became a cultural zeitgeist moment for India, bringing together the global South Asian creative community and Bollywood’s finest in celebration of the much-anticipated series.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the series is directed and created by Aryan Khan, and co-created by Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, all of whom have also written the series.
The premiere brought about global media influencers from Australia, USA, UK, Canada and more to join India’s most iconic stars, filmmakers, and tastemakers. The the who’s who of the Indian film industry walked the red carpet in support of the series, which centers around the Indian film industry itself. Among the bevy of celebrities, also present at the premiere was Netflix's Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, and the superstar's wife and the young director's mother, Producer Gauri Khan. The series cast is lead by Bobby Deol, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa and Mona Singh, amongst others.
