A new era of royalty: First look at the new queens of ‘SIX’ on Broadway

There are a million reasons to love living in New York, and here’s another reason to celebrate Harlem — and the nearby neon glow of West 47th Street: The Queendom has officially expanded, and the curtain call photos are finally here to prove that the new lineup of “SIX” at the Lena Horne Theatre is nothing short of historic.

Just the other day, two major stars made their highly anticipated Broadway debuts. Dylan Mulvaney, known for the viral “Days of Girlhood” series, stepped into the rebellious shoes of Anne Boleyn. Joining her is Grammy Award-winner Abigail Barlow, the creative force behind “The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical” and “Moana 2,” who now takes on the role of Katherine Howard.

The stage also welcomed back some of the show’s most beloved alumni. Original Broadway cast members Adrianna Hicks (Catherine of Aragon) and Anna Uzele (Catherine Parr) have returned to the throne. They are joined by Jasmine Forsberg (Jane Seymour) and Olivia Donalson (Anna of Cleves), both veterans of the 2024 cast and North American tour.

Now in its fifth historic year, “SIX” has officially become the longest-running show to play the Lena Horne Theatre since the venue first opened its doors as the Mansfield back in 1926. What started as a global sensation has turned into a permanent fixture of New York’s cultural fabric, remixing 500 years of historical heartbreak into a euphoric celebration of 21st-century girl power.

The production, co-directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage, continues to draw massive crowds who come to hear the Tony Award-winning score by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss.

Whether you are a first-time visitor or a returning “mega-fan,” this new cast brings a fresh, electric energy to the stage.

The influence of “SIX” extends far beyond 47th Street. The cast album, “SIX: LIVE ON OPENING NIGHT,” has surpassed 178 million streams, while the various global recordings have collectively hit more than 1 billion listens. For those who can’t make it to New York, the national tour continues to sell out in cities across the U.S., alongside permanent productions in London’s West End.
