Polk & Co. Names Colgan McNeil and Kelly Stotmeister as Partners
Polk & Co., the New York publicity office whose client list spans Broadway, nonprofit theater, film, television and cultural institutions, has named longtime press agents Colgan McNeil and Kelly Stotmeister as partners, joining founder Matt Polk in the firm’s leadership.
The move marks a generational expansion for the company, which Polk founded in 2013 and has since built into one of the city’s most visible theatrical publicity shops. The Observer ranked Polk & Co. seventh on its 2026 PR Power List of the 50 most powerful public-relations firms, following nine consecutive years of recognition by the publication.
The firm’s recent résumé has been particularly Broadway-heavy. In 2026, productions represented by Polk & Co. won seven Tony Awards. From 2022 through 2025, the office represented either the Tony-winning Best Musical or Best Musical Revival, and its clients have also won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album in 2024, 2025 and 2026.
For Polk, the new partnership structure is both a business decision and a passing of the baton.
“I’ve observed some of the great leaders in our industry nurture the next generation of outstanding talent,” Polk said in a statement. “Colgan McNeil and Kelly Stotmeister joined Polk & Co. over a decade ago, and from the start, they embodied the work ethic, values and philosophical approach that defines this company.”
He credited the firm’s senior leadership, including Jessica Johnson, Tom D’Ambrosio and Wayne Wolfe, with helping shape that culture. McNeil and Stotmeister, he added, have shown “a rare ability to honor the discipline of traditional publicity while pushing our work boldly forward.”
Together, McNeil and Stotmeister bring more than two decades of combined experience to their new roles. During their time at Polk & Co., they have led or contributed to campaigns for more than 100 live theatrical productions, as well as film campaigns and nonprofit clients. Their work has been connected to more than 160 Tony nominations, including campaigns for Merrily We Roll Along, Hell’s Kitchen, Some Like It Hot, Funny Girl, Back to the Future, Come From Away, Tina — The Tina Turner Musical, Network and The Color Purple.
Several of the firm’s recent clients have also recouped their investments, among them Art, Romeo & Juliet, Merrily We Roll Along, Funny Girl, Come From Away, Some Like It Hot, Latin History for Morons and Network.
McNeil has worked as a theatrical press agent for more than 15 years, representing Broadway, Off-Broadway, television, film, and institutional clients. His current roster includes Stranger Things: The First Shadow, the revival of Chess starring Aaron Tveit, Lea Michele and Nicholas Christopher, Dog Day Afternoon with Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Black Theatre United and the North American tour of Riverdance 30 — The New Generation.
His past campaigns include the Tony-winning revival of Merrily We Roll Along, Funny Girl, Come From Away, Illinoise, The Prom, Back to the Future — The Musical, Romeo + Juliet, Burn This, Network and Misery, as well as screen projects including In the Heights, Tick, Tick…Boom! Matilda and “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” He previously worked at Disney Theatrical Group and The Hartman Group and is a Hofstra University graduate.
Stotmeister has also spent more than 15 years in theatrical publicity, with a portfolio that includes Broadway, touring productions, institutions, and studio entertainment. Her recent work at Polk & Co. includes Alicia Keys’s Grammy-winning Hell’s Kitchen, Art, Some Like It Hot, Spamalot, Take Me Out, Lobby Hero, Straight White Men, Tina — The Tina Turner Musical, Macbeth starring Daniel Craig and Ruth Negga, Network, The Prom, The Boys in the Band, Latin History for Morons and the Tony-winning revival of The Color Purple.
Her institutional and cultural clients have included the North American tour of Riverdance 30 — The New Generation, The Shubert Organization and Broadway Advocacy Coalition, with previous work for Second Stage Theater, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Broadway Records and TED Talks Live. She has also worked with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Disney+, Apple TV, Lionsgate, Warner Bros., and Focus Features. Stotmeister is a member of the Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers and a graduate of DePaul University.
Polk & Co.’s current Broadway roster includes Becky Shaw, Buena Vista Social Club, Chess, Death Becomes Her, Dog Day Afternoon, Fallen Angels, Giant, Just in Time, The Lost Boys, Maybe Happy Ending, The Rocky Horror Show and Stranger Things: The First Shadow. Its nonprofit and cultural clients include Roundabout Theatre Company, Second Stage Theater, The Shed, and the Perelman Performing Arts Center.
For a firm built on the old-school intimacy of press agenting, the appointments suggest a broader future: one in which Broadway publicity increasingly moves between the theater district, streaming platforms, cultural institutions and the larger machinery of popular culture.
