Dolly Parton is bringing her life story to Broadway.
DOLLY: A True Original Musical will begin preview performances Monday, December 7, 2026, at the St. James Theatre, with opening night set for Tuesday, January 19, 2027 — Parton’s 81st birthday.
The new musical features music by Parton, including her classic hits and new songs written for the show. The book is by Parton and two-time Emmy Award winner Maria S. Schlatter, with Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher directing.
Tickets go on pre-sale July 8 at 10 a.m. ET for fans who sign up at DollyMusical.com and eligible Capital One cardholders. General public tickets go on sale Friday, July 10 at 10 a.m. ET.
Expect the songs, the sparkle, the story, and, yes, Dolly telling it her way.
