Additional free tickets now available for Qween Jean’s Summer Legacy Ball at Little Island on Saturday, Aug. 1, at 8 p.m.

New York City’s ballroom community is preparing to take over the Hudson River for one spectacular night.

Little Island has released additional seats for the third edition of Tony Award-winner Qween Jean’s Summer Legacy Ball, a one-night-only celebration of ballroom culture, runway, music, and performance in the Amph, the park’s 700-seat waterfront amphitheater.

The newly added general admission tickets are free and can be reserved at www.littleisland.org.

Created and hosted by Qween Jean, the Summer Legacy Ball brings together ballroom legends, rising performers, runway walkers, and cultural figures for an evening rooted in community, history, and unapologetic self-expression. This year’s honorees are Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, Boom Boom Balenciaga, Kiara St. James, and Brenda Continental Milan Soulja. The night will also feature headliner Infinite Coles, with Samora Pinderhughes and Dr. Jehbreal Jackson as preachers.

Julz Romell and Thunda will command the floor as MCs, while Haus of Telfar joins the performance lineup. Runway facilitators include Daniella Agosto and Darius Case, with panelists Luna Luis Ortiz, Tracey Africa Norman, and Mother Pandora West. DJ Blaize will keep the ball moving throughout the night.

The creative team includes scenic designer Simean Carpenter, lighting designer Cha See, sound designer DJ Potts, and Qween Jean providing creative direction.

The Summer Legacy Ball is part of Little Island’s expansive 2026 season, which features 56 performances and more than 200 artists in concerts, world premieres, live radio programs, culinary events, dance parties, and full-park takeovers.

Programming unfolds throughout Little Island’s three principal spaces. The Amph presents large-scale performances overlooking the Hudson River, while the intimate 250-seat Glade hosts six new live radio shows exploring the hidden stories behind everyday foods. Each radio program is followed by a culinary pairing inspired by the episode’s theme. The Play Ground, Little Island’s central gathering space, transforms throughout the season with DJ-driven parties and food pop-ups. Performances in the Glade and parties in the Play Ground are free; regularly ticketed Amph performances are $25.

Opened in May 2021, Little Island has welcomed more than 7.5 million visitors and presented or produced more than 885 performances. The public park was developed after Hurricane Sandy badly damaged Pier 54. Barry Diller and the Hudson River Park Trust worked to reimagine the site as a space combining landscape, architecture, and live art.

The park was designed through a collaboration between the United Kingdom’s Heatherwick Studio and New York landscape architecture firm MNLA, led by Signe Nielsen.

Little Island is fully funded by the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation. Zack Winokur is the producing artistic director, and the park is operated year-round by a 55-member staff led by Executive Director Laura Clement.

Tickets for Little Island’s summer season are available through TodayTix.com, the TodayTix app, and LittleIsland.org.
The Amph repertory design team includes lighting designer Mary Ellen Stebbins and sound designer Shannon Slaton.
