Following the finale of his TV series, Wilson turns to the world’s most widely used building material for inspiration. But there is one obvious problem: How do you make concrete entertaining? His solution is wonderfully odd. Wilson borrows the industry-approved Hallmark movie formula, hoping a little familiar storytelling structure can make his seemingly drab subject more appealing. Then the foundation starts to crack — literally and figuratively. As Wilson tries to balance his creative instincts with the realities of the modern film industry, the project becomes about much more than concrete. It is also about artistic freedom, commercial expectations, and what happens when the movie you want to make collides with the movie someone thinks people will actually watch.
