Step into the Dark: Mercer Labs' 'Dark Matter' Exhibition Adds Final Dates Before October 30th Closure
Mercer Labs, Museum of Art and Technology, located at 21 Dey St. in Lower Manhattan, has just announced additional dates for its highly acclaimed exhibit Dark Matter: Nightmare Before Midnight. Conceptualized, directed, and produced by renowned artist Roy Nachum, the exhibition is set to run through October 30, 2024, with new showings on October 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, from 8 PM to midnight. Tickets are now available for this not-to-be-missed experience.
Described by Hypebeast as a "sensorial spin on the classic haunted house" and praised by Secret NYC as an "urgent must-see," Dark Matter offers a deeply immersive, multi-sensory journey that blends art and the supernatural. Visitors are invited to confront their subconscious fears in this evening-exclusive exhibit, held in Mercer Labs' 36,000-square-foot experimental space. Highlights include interactive installations, infinity rooms, 8K projections, and omnidirectional sound, delivering an unforgettable experience.
As Nachum explains, "Dark Matter delves into the role of darkness in art, exploring how fear and the unknown shape cultural anxieties. It mirrors our deepest obsessions, forcing us to face what lies beyond consciousness."
