Dead Outlaw has officially arrived on Broadway—and it’s bringing one of the wildest true stories ever told to the Longacre Theatre.
Now in previews, the new musical from Tony Award winners David Yazbek and Itamar Moses, co-written with Erik Della Penna and directed by David Cromer, began performances on Saturday, April 12. The show officially opens on Sunday, April 27, at the Longacre Theatre (220 W. 48th Street).
A twisted, genre-defying story inspired by the bizarre posthumous journey of real-life outlaw Elmer McCurdy, Dead Outlaw explores legacy, failure, and the spectacle of fame—with sharp wit and bourbon-drenched flair.
