There’s something deeply powerful about Broadway artists using their voices for more than just storytelling. On Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Broadway community will come together once again for the fourth annual Broadway Celebrates Earth Day Concert—a free, star-studded outdoor event taking place in the heart of Times Square.

Presented by SUMMIT One Vanderbilt and produced by the Broadway Green Alliance and Times Square Alliance, the concert aligns with NYC DOT’s Car-Free Earth Day, transforming the pedestrian plaza into a celebration of music, environmental action, and collective hope.

This year’s lineup features Broadway headliners and more than 80 young performers from across the tri-state region. Among the featured guests are Tony Award winner Shaina Taub, who will lead the grand finale with her anthemic “Keep Marching”—a powerful call to action performed by youth voices rising from the crossroads of New York City.

Joining the celebration are Broadway stars, including:

  • Andrew Rannells (The Book of Mormon)

  • Stark Sands (& Juliet)

  • Merle Dandridge (Hadestown)

  • Anika Larsen (Almost Famous)

  • Lissa deGuzman, Jaygee Macapugay, Jennafer Newberry, Adrian Blake Enscoe, Jenn Gambatese, Rema Webb, Kelsie Watts, and Khaila Wilcoxon

Beloved Broadway duo Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley Jackson (of Stars in the House) return to host, bringing their signature energy to the stage.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the day will come from the youngest performers—kindergarten and first-grade students from P.S. 212 in Hell’s Kitchen—who will join Jenn Gambatese for a special rendition of “Do Re Mi,” reminding us all that change starts from the beginning, no matter how small the voice.

The event isn’t just about performance—it’s about impact. Alongside the Broadway stars, audiences will hear from young artists and environmental leaders affiliated with organizations like Materials for the Arts, HeadCount, and Final Strike Collaborative. Participating groups include students from EPIC Players, NYU Steinhardt, Perkiomen Valley High School, Cassie Okenka Voice Studio, Wolf Performing Arts Center, and R.Evolución Latina, among others.

The concert will be livestreamed globally, thanks to Stars in the House, allowing fans and climate advocates around the world to take part in this inspiring day of art and advocacy.
