Call It Spring known for on-trend shoes and accessories became 100% vegan earlier this year, removing all animal materials and derivatives from its entire collection.
Call It Spring is launching its first sustainable collection. The 19 new sustainable styles are fabricated with innovative materials such as jersey fabric made of post-consumer recycled water bottles, insoles made from an innovative algae-based material, and eco vegan leathers that are made using fewer chemicals.
Here are some impact #facts about these styles:
- These styles are keeping 295,629 plastic bottles out of landfills and our oceans, as all polyester linings are made with recycled, post-consumer bottles.
- These styles have cleaned and replenished over 264,172 gallons of water in rivers and lakes by using BLOOM™ foam, a sustainable algae-based material that helps support biodiversity in our rivers and lakes, in the insoles.
- The eco-conscious vegan leather (PU) used in these styles uses less energy to create than standard vegan leathers and is made using fewer chemicals. These styles have saved over 58 tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere, or the equivalent of driving a car around the earth five times.
