‘Beetlejuice’ Musical to Return to Broadway

‘Beetlejuice’ Musical to Return to Broadway for Limited Engagement at the Palace Theatre

“Beetlejuice,” the irreverent musical based on Tim Burton’s 1988 cult film, will return to Broadway for a limited 13-week engagement this fall at the newly restored Palace Theatre. The production, currently in the final months of its First National Tour, begins performances on October 8, 2025, and will run through January 3, 2026.

The tour, which launched in December 2022 at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Theatre, has played more than 80 cities and is concluding its run with this final New York engagement. Tickets are on sale beginning today at 10 a.m. through Broadway Direct.

Described by The New York Times as “a jaw-dropping funhouse,” the musical has had an unconventional journey. Its original Broadway run began in 2019 at the Winter Garden Theatre and ended prematurely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A second Broadway stint followed in 2022 at the Marquis Theatre, bringing the total number of Broadway performances to 679. Social media platforms like TikTok and YouTube played a significant role in cultivating its passionate fan base.

“Beetlejuice” tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a gothic teenager whose life changes after encountering a recently deceased couple and a mischievous demon with a flair for the theatrical. The show features direction by Alex Timbers (“Moulin Rouge!”), an original score by Eddie Perfect (“King Kong”), and a book by Scott Brown and Anthony King. Choreography is by Connor Gallagher, with music supervision and orchestrations by Kris Kukul.

The production’s design team includes David Korins (sets), William Ivey Long (costumes), Kenneth Posner (lighting), Peter Hylenski (sound), and Peter Nigrini (projections). Additional credits include puppet design by Michael Curry, illusions by Michael Weber, special effects by Jeremy Chernick, and hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe.

The original cast recording, released by Ghostlight Records and Warner Records, has surpassed 750 million global streams, placing it among the most streamed Broadway albums of the last decade.

The show is produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Networks Presentations, Langley Park Productions, and a consortium of Broadway veterans, including Jeffrey Richards and James L. Nederlander.
