Shoshana Bean Wins Her First Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Musical in The Lost Boys
Shoshana Bean won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as Lucy Emerson in The Lost Boys at the 79th Annual Tony Awards. The 12-time Tony-nominated vampire musical earned Bean her third Tony nomination, and she delivered a powerhouse performance as the single mother who, along with her teenage sons, uncovers the darker side of Santa Carla.
Bean's commanding vocals and emotional depth in the rock-infused blockbuster won her the award over fellow nominees Hannah Cruz (Chess), Rachel Dratch (The Rocky Horror Show), Ana Gasteyer (Schmigadoon!), and others. The production also took Best Lighting Design of a Musical for Jen Schriever and Michael Arden.
"I feel amazing. I just was so overwhelmed and emotional this morning, mostly because I'm like... honored to be acknowledged as well," Bean told BroadwayWorld after the win.
The veteran actress, who serves as an honorary board member of several theater organizations, previously earned Tony nominations for her roles in Wicked and The Last Five Years. Her win in The Lost Boys marks her first Tony Award, capping off a career that has included Grammy-winning recordings and Broadway staples.
The Lost Boys continues to run at the Palace Theatre in Times Square through November 21, 2026, with Bean's performance as Lucy Emerson remaining a central draw of the vampire spectacle.
