Academy Foundation Board 2026–2027: Kim Taylor-Coleman Re-Elected President


The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced its newly elected Academy Foundation Board members and officers, with casting director Kim Taylor-Coleman returning as president.


The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has named the members and officers who will lead the Academy Foundation Board for the 2026–2027 term, placing a new spotlight on the organization responsible for many of the Academy’s most important educational, cultural and film-preservation initiatives.


Casting director Kim Taylor-Coleman has been re-elected president of the Academy Foundation Board.


The Foundation’s work extends far beyond Oscar night. It oversees the Academy’s educational, preservation and cultural activities, including the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the Margaret Herrick Library, the Academy Film Archive, the Academy Collection and the Academy’s talent development programs.


Together, these institutions and initiatives preserve cinematic history, support emerging filmmakers and help make film culture accessible to audiences, researchers and future generations around the world.


Academy Foundation Board Officers for 2026–2027

Joining Taylor-Coleman in the board’s elected leadership are:


Brooke Breton, representing the Visual Effects Branch, as vice president; Paul Cameron, representing the Cinematographers Branch, as vice president; David Dinerstein, representing the Marketing and Public Relations Branch, as treasurer; and Marlon West, representing the Animation Branch, as secretary.

The Academy Foundation Board consists of 12 trustees, all of whom also serve as members of the Academy’s Board of Governors. Their branches represent a broad range of creative and professional disciplines across the motion picture industry.


“The Academy Foundation plays a vital role in expanding our global reach and supporting our film community through the Academy Museum, Academy Collection, educational initiatives and preservation work,” Academy CEO Bill Kramer said in a statement. “I am incredibly grateful to our Academy Foundation Board members for dedicating their time, expertise and support to drive forward these impactful and important efforts.”


Academy Foundation Board members and officers serve one-year terms.


As representatives of the Foundation Board, David Dinerstein, Lynette Howell Taylor and Kim Taylor-Coleman will also serve one-year terms on the Academy Museum Board of Trustees.


The newly elected board will help guide the Academy Foundation’s expanding mission at a time when film preservation, access to cinematic history and support for emerging storytellers remain essential to the future of the global film community.
