Second Stage Casts Celia Keenan-Bolger, Esco Jouléy and Mary Wiseman in ‘The Visitors’

Second Stage Theater has announced the complete cast for “The Visitors,” a new comedy-drama by playwright Bryna Turner, directed by Jenna Worsham.

The world-premiere production will star Esco Jouléy, Tony Award winner Celia Keenan-Bolger, Will Pullen, Mary Wiseman and Danny Wolohan.

Previews begin October 21, 2026, ahead of an official opening on November 9, at the Irene Diamond Stage inside the Pershing Square Signature Center in New York City.

What Is ‘The Visitors’ About?

Joanna is in her mid-30s and eager to become a parent. She summons her three siblings to her New York apartment and asks them for a shocking favor, forcing the family to reconsider how well they understand one another as adults.

What begins as a visit becomes a confrontation with old roles, unresolved tensions, and the difficult intimacy of people who have known one another their entire lives.

Described as a wry and heartfelt comedy-drama, “The Visitors” reunites Turner and Worsham, the playwright-director team behind the acclaimed “At the Wedding,” a New York Times Critic’s Pick.

‘The Visitors’ Cast

Jouléy recently appeared as Sonya in the Emmy-nominated FX series “Dying for Sex” and earned acclaim for stage performances in “Wolf Play,” “Merry Me” and “Trophy Boys.”

Keenan-Bolger won a Tony Award for “To Kill a Mockingbird” and recently appeared in Second Stage’s “Mother Play.” Her Broadway credits also include “The Glass Menagerie,” “Peter and the Starcatcher” and “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.”

Pullen has appeared on Broadway in “Sweat” and “To Kill a Mockingbird,” as well as in the television series “Dope Thief,” “The Gilded Age” and “The Americans.”

Wiseman, known for “Star Trek: Discovery,” previously worked with Turner and Worsham in “At the Wedding.” Her stage credits include “Thérèse Raquin” and “An Octoroon.”

Wolohan’s Broadway credits include “Camelot,” “Macbeth,” “West Side Story” and “To Kill a Mockingbird.”

Bryna Turner and Jenna Worsham Reunite

Turner’s plays include “Bull in a China Shop,” “At the Wedding” and “Phases of the Moon.” Their honors include Lincoln Center Theater’s Emerging Artist Award, a MacDowell Fellowship and the Theatre Visions Award.

Worsham’s directing credits include “At the Wedding,” “The Siblings Play,” “Agnes” and “Street Children.” She is also a co-founder of the New Roots LGBTQIA+ artist residency and co-creator of The Homebound Project.

The creative team for “The Visitors” includes scenic designer Kate Noll, costume designer Asta Bennie Hostetter, lighting designer Stacey Derosier and sound designer Fan Zheng. Casting is by Daniel Swee, CSA.

“The Visitors” begins previews on October 21 and opens November 9 at the Pershing Square Signature Center, located at 480 West 42nd Street in Manhattan.
